HelixZyme™ Heat Labile UDG 는 해양세균인 BMTU 3346에서 유래된 재조합 uracil DNA glycosylase입니다. UDG는 deoxyribose와 uracil 염기 사이의 N-glycosylic bond를 가수분해하여, apyrimidinic site 만드는 반응을 촉매 하는 효소입니다. HelixZyme™ Heat Labile UDG 는 15~25 ℃ 범위의 온도에서 최적의 활성을 갖지만, 40 ℃ 이상의 온도에서는 불활성화됩니다. 이러한 특징으로 인하여 본 효소는 오염된 uracil-DNA 제거를 위하여 one-step RT-PCR에 적용하기 적합한 효소입니다.
